Fort Wayne Warming Station Extends through Friday Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The city of Fort Wayne has established a warming station that's available to the public through Friday night.

According to a press release, the temporary warming station is designed for people who need to stay warm for a short period of time.

The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department's Community Center will be hosting the warming station at 223 W. Main St. and will be open between the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. both Thursday and Friday.

Police, Fire, Public and City Utilities are prepared to respond to any potential weather situations throughout the city.
