Fort Wayne’s VA Hospital Inpatient Svcs, ICU Shut Down

The inpatient services and Intensive Care Unit at Fort Wayne’s V-A Hospital have been shut down.  According to a statement from the Department of Veterans affairs, the move was made to afford administrators the opportunity to review processes, provide training to staff, and to maintain the highest standard of care for veterans. According to the Journal Gazette, the shutdown was a result of a review from June of last year that found what stated as “inadequate management, staffing documentation and review.”
