Judge Sides with Melania Trump Over Skin-Care Deal

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): A federal judge has sided with the wife of billionaire Donald Trump in her lawsuit over a contract to market skin-care products with a now-fractured partnership led by Wisconsin hardware store magnate John Menard and Indiana businessman Steve Hilbert.

The judge in Indianapolis ruled Tuesday that Melania Trump can proceed with an arbitration hearing in New York, where she is seeking $50 million in damages from two Menard-controlled companies.

Trump's lawsuit claims the companies didn't abide by a contract for her Melania by Melania Trump product line.

Menard claims in another lawsuit he he lost most of the nearly $500 million he invested in a Hilbert-managed firm. Menard has contented Hilbert had no right to negotiate the contract with Trump.
