Kosciusko County Votes Yes on School Referendum

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): After months of of wishing and wondering, it's official: Kosciusko County has voted yes on a vital school referendum.

Kosciusko County voted yes for the WCS referendum that will rebuild Lincoln Elementary School and renovate parts of Edgewood Middle School and Washington Elementary School.

The price is estimated to cost no more than just under $40 million and is estimated to increase the property tax rate for debt service by a maximum of just under 14 cents per $100 of assessed valuation over the next 20 years.

School officials at Lincoln Elementary say the school has major wiring, plumbing, and space issues.
