Layoffs Approved for Fremont Schools

FREMONT, Ind. (WOWO): Last night at a board meeting, Fremont Community Schools approved a work force reduction that’s equivalent to 5 1/4 full time positions. Originally, the proposal called for making cuts to the equivalent of 11 full-time positions but due to resignations and retirements over the past month, that number was able to be reduced. The layoffs were approved by a 6-1 vote, and are effective immediately.
