Missing DeKalb Teen Found Dead in Muncie

The body of a missing DeKalb County teen has been discovered in Muncie, according to a statement released Tuesday night by the Auburn Police department. 


16-year-old Alexander Rodecap had been missing since Monday night. The body was discovered around 4:00 p.m., and no cause of death has been released.

During the search for Rodecap Tuesday, some schools in the DeKalb Central School district in Waterloo were placed on a modified lockdown.

Police believed Rodecap had a firearm, but wasn’t considered a threat to others. However, they were concerned for his safety.
