Muncie man held in triple stabbing, arson



MUNCIE, Ind. (AP): A 43-year-old Indiana man is being held after police say he stabbed three people and tried to set fire to his house.

One of the people Reginald Cortez Jackson Jr. is accused of stabbing is his 20-year-old daughter, who is nine months pregnant.

The Delaware County Jail website said Saturday that Reginald Cortez Jackson Jr. of Muncie was being held on $85,000 bond. The Star Press reports (http://tspne.ws/1zfALv2 ) he faces preliminary charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, battery on a pregnant woman, battery with a deadly weapon and arson.

The three stabbing victims remained hospitalized late Friday afternoon, but are expected to recover.

The pregnant woman was wounded in the lower back and her injuries aren't believed to have harmed the fetus.

Authorities say fire damage Thursday wasn't extensive.
