New Haven Foundation Announces Contribution

New Haven Mayor Terry McDonald, Wes Anderson of Rack and Helen's, Bob Taylor (Do It Best Corp.)
and Charles Hatten (New Haven Chamber of Commerce) show off a gift to the Foundation.

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): A major gift to local organization.

The recently formed New Haven Community Foundation annoucned a $25,000 contribution from Do It Best Corp.

Officials say it's part of effort that will generate matching funds from the Lilly Endowment.

Charles Hatten is the President of the New Haven Chamber of Commerce and one of the architects of the Community Foundation, says the foundation will create projects that have a long-lasting legacy.

Hatten says its a way to improve quality of life. One the early ideas is to create an acoustical pavillion at Schnelker Park
