Pence Slowly Putting Stamp on Ind., GOP

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Governor Mike Pence is slowly taking the reins of the state and putting in place his vision of government. Pence’s staff announced new priorities for state agencies last week and the new governor will soon pick new leadership for the Indiana Republican Party. Plans to assess infant mortality rates, levels of youth smoking and obesity and employment among Indiana’s veterans may sound mundane. But they mark Pence directing how state government should operate.
