WASHINGTON, Ind. (WOWO: House Republican leadership continues to reshuffle.

With Eric Cantor's resignation as house majority leader Wednesday, political website Politico.com is reporting that third-district Rep. Marlin Stutzman is seeking a position in the new leadership structure.

According to the website, “Rep. Marlin Stutzman will enter the race for House Republican whip, third most highest ranking GOP position in the house. Stutzman will face Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise and Illinois Rep. Peter Roskam.”

Stutzman's office has yet to confirm the report.
