Responding Officer Crashes

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  An on duty Albion Police Officer lost control of his car while responding to an emergency call.

Officer Kylen Branham of Kendallville suffered facial lacerations when his police vehicle hit a patch of ice and slid off the south side of SR 8 around 12:05 a.m. Friday morning.  His vehicle flipped two and a halftimes and laded on its roof, sliding in snow before coming to a rest.  The roof and vehicle collapsed and trapped the officer inside.  Rescue crews were able to free the driver and take him to Parkview Noble Hospital.
