Russian Roulette Kills Kokomo Teen

KOKOMO, Ind. (AP): The Miami County Sheriff's Office believes a 17-year-old from Kokomo died playing Russian roulette.

The sheriff's department tells the Kokomo Tribune deputies were called to a home about noon Thursday about a report a teenager had been shot in the head. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies said the teenager and several other teens had been invited to the home. They were in a bedroom playing video grams when the victim produced a handgun and loaded a single bullet and spun the cylinder. He then placed the weapon to his temple and pulled the trigger. Deputies say one round was discharged into the victim's temple.

The investigation is continuing.
