State Police Conduct Sobriety Checks in Whitley County

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Wednesday night officially kicks-off the holiday season. That's why State Police will be conducting sobriety checks in Whitley County.

The Fort Wayne District of the Indiana State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Whitley County during the late night hours of Wednesday, November 26th.

The goal is to reduce the number alcohol-related crashes in an area that's known for having a high number of drunk driving accidents.

Police aren't releasing the exact location, but drivers are reminded to have their license and registration ready before entering the checkpoint, to make things go faster.

Another reminder from law enforcement to always, drive safe and sober this holiday season.
