Student Injured in Car-Bus Collision

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne Community Schools student was injured in a car-bus collision Wednesday.

It happened around 3 p.m., near Calhoun Street and Lenox Avenue. A News-Sentinel report today says one of 14 students on the bus was treated at a local hospital for slight bleeding on the brain.

The girl according to the report, is a 12-year-old at Portage Middle School. School officials say the students were checked by medics at the scene then transported by a second bus.

When the student arrived home, her mother to her to the hospital.
