Two Additional Blue Star Banners Now on Display

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two more Blue Star Banners have been placed along West Jefferson Boulevard.

The Blue Star Banner program started in May and recognizes Fort Wayne residents and City government employees who are actively deployed. The total number of banners on display is 36.

The two new banners are in honor of Airman Joshua Emrick, United States Air Force and Staff Sergeant Bruce W. Freed, Jr., United States Air Force.

Banners will be displayed through early November and then removed for protection from the weather. The banners will be displayed again beginning in April 2015.
