18-year-old man is in custody after barricade situation in southeast Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 18-year-old Fort Wayne man is in custody after a two hour barricade situation on the southeast side of Fort Wayne.

Police spokesman Mike Joyner said Emmanuel D. Freeman was wanted for a violation of probation and auto theft.

Police arrived to the scene at 3415 Holton Ave. at about 11:10 a.m. Tuesday.

Freeman voluntarily surrendered around 1 p.m. and was taken into custody, Joyner said.

The Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident.
