1980 Shooting Victim Dies, Death Ruled Homicide

The death of 53-year-old David Thornsley of Fort Wayne, has been ruled a homicide by the Allen County Coroner.

Thornsley was shot in Fort Wayne on Rudisill Boulevard near Smith Street on July 10, 1980 while he was riding his bicycle.  

He was rendered a paraplegic as a result of the injuries he suffered in the shooting and died on Monday.

Thornsley’s death is the 7th ruling of homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.
