$2.5 Million Approved for Auburn Road Repairs

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A portion of Auburn Road that extends over Becketts Run will soon get $2.5 million in repairs, after the Allen County Board of Commissioners approved the measure on Friday.

According to the Journal Gazette, the director of the Allen County Highway Department says Auburn Road, just north of Wallen Road, doesn’t have enough space in the large metal culvert underneath the road, for water to pass during high-water events.

The bridge will be replaced in order to widen the waterway, and manage the existing flood problems. The county will also install a roundabout, due to traffic complaints.

The entire project will be completed by the end of September.
