FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two veteran Allen County officers are being promoted.

Sheriff David Gladieux announced Wednesday morning that Corporal Alan Cook and Corporal David Butler are replacing the former jail commander and assistant jail commander.

Cook is being promoted to captain of the confinement division as the new jail commander. He’ll oversee daily operations of the facility.

He started his career with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department in 1988 and has held several positions.

Buter is being promoted to lieutenant of the confinement division as the assistant jail commander. He’ll assist Cook with daily operations. Butler also started his career in 1988.
