Homicide Ruling Issued in Cemetery Murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Final autopsy results have been released in the death of 30-year-old Katherine Gick. According to the Allen County Coroner, Gick died from blunt force trauma and sharp force injuries. Her manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

30-year-old Quinn Albers pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the case back in October 2014.

When Gick's body was found in an underdeveloped area of the Catholic Cemetery, located off Lake Avenue in Fort Wayne, investigators noticed multiple puncture wounds on the victim, and say the body was set on fire at one point.

Albers initially told police he was abusing bath salts at the time, with no recollection of killing the woman. He is set to go to trial, March 24th.
