FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): 27 people were arrested early Saturday morning by the Fort Wayne Gang and Violent Crimes Unit after police served a warrant to the Hart Hitters Club on 5001 Avondale Drive.
Working with State Excise Police, the unit searched the club around 2:15 a.m. Saturday with approximately 70 people inside. The Fort Wayne Police were directed towards the club after they say several serious violent crimes were associated with the location, including shots fired, shootings, stabbings and one homicide.
Detectives recovered around 200 grams of marijuana, 4 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of spice and 4 handguns.
Charges range from maintaining a commons nuisance, visiting a common nuisance, dealing cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a synthetic and miscellaneous warrants. The investigation is still on-going.
