Northeast Fort Wayne Crash Injures One

Fort Wayne, IN (WOWO): — A motorcyclist was critically injured Monday evening following a crash at the intersection of East State Boulevard and Tonawanda Trail.

Fort Wayne Police responded around 7:44 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found the motorcyclist suffering from severe injuries and a heavily damaged vehicle at the scene.

Emergency medical personnel quickly transported the rider to a local hospital where the injuries were described as life-threatening.

Due to the seriousness of the crash, the Fort Wayne Police Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT), assisted by the Air Support Unit, took over the investigation. The roadway remains closed while officers work to document the scene.

Preliminary information from police suggests that speed may have been a factor in the crash. Authorities urge anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to come forward.
