Columbia City Football Player Recovering from Head Injury

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (AP) – A northeastern Indiana high school football player who suffered serious head injuries during a game in August is still facing months of therapy.

An aunt of Columbia City senior running back and linebacker Sam Dailey says he's walking fine and his headaches have lessened.

Dailey was in serious condition after being injured Aug. 23 in a game at Warsaw and was hospitalized for about 10 days. He's been home for a few weeks after a stay in a rehabilitation center.

Doctors say Dailey suffered an acute head injury which caused a blood clot to form on his brain. He underwent several surgeries to reduce swelling.
