Crash in Steuben County Leads to Injuries

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Steuben County Deputies are investigating a crash that happened Monday morning at 10:44 a.m.   

It was reported at the I-69 northbound off ramp at CR 200 W. Two vehicles were involved and two people were injured.

35-year-old Amanda Martin of Auburn was exiting I-69 at the northbound CR 200 W exit when she overlooked the stop sign and traveled into the path of 58-year-old Blaine Watson, of Angola, who was traveling southbound on CR 200 W.

Martin’s car sustained heavy damage and was a total loss. She suffered hip and leg injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Watson’s minivan sustained heavy front end damage and was also a total loss. He suffered a shoulder and arm injury, but refused treatment at the scene.

Martin was cited for failure to yield at a through highway.
