Man Sentenced in Jewelry Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An accomplice in a 2012 jewelry store armed robbery was sentenced to 25 years in prison Monday in Allen Superior Court.

21 year old Carl Johnson was one of three men charged in the hold up at Do’s Jewelers on East State.  Johnson agreed to a deal where he pleaded guilty to robbery causing serious bodily injury.

He will also serve five years probation. During the crime, the stores owner was struck in the head with a pistol. The two other men have been sentenced for their role in the crime.
