FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Runners and walkers will take to the Indiana Tech campus this weekend for a 5K supporting Community Harvest Food Bank.

The Crush Hunger 5K is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3 at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne. Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m., with the run starting at 9 a.m.

The free fun run is aimed at helping fight hunger in the Fort Wayne community. Participants are encouraged to bring canned food or make a monetary donation to Community Harvest Food Bank.

According to WANE 15, participants will receive a finisher medal. Breakfast, photos and a silent auction will also be available following the run.
