Children Removed from Home After Drug Bust

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Three men are arrested and four children were removed from a home after a drug bust northwest of the city’s downtown. The Fort Wayne police units served a drug-related search warrant at a home on Burgess St. after an investigation spanning months involving the sale of synthetic drugs. Police say the investigation was prompted by several community-provided drug tips. Detectives found synthetic drug product and paraphernalia associated with the sales and use of synthetic drugs in the home, along with a firearm. Four children were taken from the house by Child Services. The following are the names and charges of those involved:

 

Andrew Szabo: Corrupt Business Influence, Maintaining a Common Nuissance, Neglect of a Dependent (3 counts)

Joseph Szabo: Dealing Synthetic Drug within 500’ of park, Corrupt Business Influence, Maintaining a Common Nuisance

Derrick Banks: Corrupt Business Influence, Visiting a Common Nuisance
