Axle Factory in NE Indiana Hiring At Least 100 Employees

ALBION, Ind. (AP) – A company that makes heavy duty and recreational vehicle axles says it expects to add at least 100 jobs at a northeastern Indiana factory.

Josh Rosenogle of Dexter Axle Co. tells The News Sun that the new workers will be starting early next year at the factory in the Noble County town of Albion.

The Town Council voted this week to allow the company to use town property for construction of more parking lot space for the additional workers.

Town Manager Beth Shellman tells The Journal Gazette donating the land is worth it for the economic impact Dexter has in the community about 25 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.

Shellman says the company has been growing its Albion operations for several years and now has more than 700 employees.
