FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man is in critical condition after police found him lying at the bottom of the stairs in a Fort Wayne home Sunday evening.

Police were called to the 2400 block of Lynn Avenue on reports that the man had trauma to his head and face.

He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition and has since been downgraded to critical condition.

A Homicide Team and Crime Scene Units have been asked to help with the investigation.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
