4 Hurt In School Bus Crash

School officials say all the children injured when a school bus veered off a wet road in central Indiana on Friday and overturned in a farm field have been treated and released.

Clinton Prairie School Corporation Superintendent Chris Sampson told the Journal and Courier of Lafayette the most serious injury was a broken arm. The Clinton Prairie school district bus crashed near the town of Colfax around 8 a.m. while taking students to school.

The 27 students and the bus driver were released from the hospital by Friday afternoon, WTHR-TV in Indianapolis reported.

Sampson says that the driver was a substitute.

The crash happened along a straight road wet from morning rain. Police were still trying to determine what caused the wreck. The bus ended up on its side.
