INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The Indiana State Board of Animal Health has voted to permanently lift a rule that required race tracks to test for a blood-borne disease in horses. The board ordered tracks two years ago to begin testing for equine piroplasmosis. The change is expected to save racehorse owners more than $200,000 a year in testing expenses.
