Bored Indiana Teen Kills Kittens, Puts Photos Online

EAST CHICAGO, Ind. (AP) _ Police in northwestern Indiana say a teenager killed three kittens with a bow and arrow and posted photos of the dead animals on Facebook.

Lake County Police Detective Michelle Dvorscak said Wednesday that the 17-year-old East Chicago boy hunted the kittens in an alley with a compound bow and arrow. The boy's name wasn't disclosed because the matter likely will be handled in juvenile court.

Dvorschak told The Munster Times the boy told her he did it because he was bored.

Police say the teen admitted killing three kittens, including one speared through the head, and another that was disemboweled.

It says the teen the posted pictures of himself playing with the dead kittens on Facebook. Police say the photos were later removed from the social networking website.
