Man Pointed Gun at South Indiana Government Center

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Police have arrested a man who pointed a long gun from a truck at a southern Indiana courthouse.

The News and Tribune and WDRB-TV report officers from the Clark County Sheriff's Department and the Jeffersonville Police Department responded to the incident Tuesday afternoon and surrounded the man parked in a black pickup truck in a lot across from the Clark County Government Building.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt.

Police say the man was yelling and talking loudly to himself. He surrendered peacefully.

County Attorney Jake Elder says the building was briefly placed on lockdown and employees in offices facing the parking lot were instructed to stay away from windows.
