Pence Communications Chief Denault Submits Resignation

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The communications director for Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is stepping down to spend more time with her family.
 
Pence's office announced the resignation of Christy Denault on Wednesday.
 </span>
Denault joined Pence during his campaign for governor and has held communications roles in the private sector and higher education.
 
She notified Pence of her decision to leave in a letter dated Monday. Denault has 6-year-old triplets and an 8-year-old and said it is time to devote more energy to her family.
 
Pence's office says Denault will remain on staff until May 22 while a replacement is found.
 
Pence praised her “selfless dedication and professionalism'' in a statement Wednesday.
