LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, police in LaGrange County received reports of a battery on Pigeon River.

Kacy Meyer told police she was battered and held under water by a man on her canoe just east of Mongo Canoe Rental on Pigeon River.

Police say upon further investigation, it was discovered that Christopher Moore had beaten the victim. Moore was charged and is being held at the LaGrange County Jail.
