Police Respond to Dollar General Robbery in Defiance

DEFIANCE, OH. (WOWO): Just before 3 a.m. Monday, a police officer noticed suspicious activity near the Dollar General store on South Clinton Street in Defiance.

The officer says he saw two men with small tote bags walking in front of the store, and he noticed that the glass on the front door had been shattered. When he approached the two, they ran away from the area. The officer also noted that an older male in a truck left the scene at the same time as the two men.

Officers later took 20-year-old Dustin Hernandez into custody. He is being charged with breaking and entering.

Police continue the search for the other two suspects.
