$1.5M Bond for Ohio Teen Accused in Fatal Stabbings of Teens

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) _ A judge in northwestern Ohio has set a $1.5 million bond for a teen accused in the fatal stabbings of his former girlfriend and her brother.

The 16-year-old suspect from Toledo is being tried as an adult and appeared in a Lucas County court on Thursday.

Police say he attacked the two teens and their mother who survived.

His former girlfriend, 16-year-old Joscelyn Jones, died three weeks after the stabbings. Her 14-year-old brother Johnny Jones III died the day of the attack on Aug. 10.

Police have said they went to the home after the suspect went to his home nearby and told his mom that he had done “something awful.”
