FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Kroger and Meijer are pulling Dole salads from their shelves in Fort Wayne.

That is because of a voluntary recall that was issued Friday. One person died and a dozen others have been sickened from listeria from eating packaged salads. The salads were made at a Springfield, Ohio processing facility.

Kroger and Meijer are also allowing anyone that has purchased Dole salads to return them to their stores. That’s according to our news partners at 21Alive.

The salads are sold under several brands, including Dole, Fresh Selections, Simple Truth, Marketside, The Little Salad Bar and President’s Choice. The manufacturing code on the package starts with the letter “A.”
