FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): As campaign season starts to creep around the corner, Congressman Jim Banks is bringing a heavy hitter with him to the state of Indiana.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise is making an appearance in the Summit City today to campaign for the third district congressman. Joining Fort Wayne’s Morning News, Scalise had high praise for Banks, calling him a “really good friend, colleague, and one our real emerging leaders in congress.”

Scalise also said that he believes that the Congressman is the right kind of conservative representative to serve our district.
