FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It’s time for seasonal increases in gas prices.

Gasbuddy is warning people that gas prices will be going up to its highest level since November. Gas prices in Indiana will go up to $2.09 a gallon on average.

The reason for the spike is because of shrinking gasoline inventory due to seasonal maintenance.

Competition among gas stations kept gas prices low for a while despite wholesale prices going up. Prices could continue to tick up until May according to Gasbuddy analyst Patrick DeHaan.

According to the Gasbuddy app, you can still find gas in the $1.86 to $1.89 range around Fort Wayne.
