WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): Officials say they’re investigating another round of possible mumps cases at Purdue University.

Purdue announced Thursday that health officials are investigating six probably cases of the infection at its West Lafayette campus.

The (Lafayette) Journal and Courier reports that the Indiana State Department of Public Health says Purdue has had 26 confirmed cases of mumps so far this year. Those cases are part of a larger mumps outbreak of 115 cases as of May 27 at universities across Indiana.

Purdue is asking anyone with symptoms to stay home. Symptoms can include fever, headache, muscle aches and swollen glands. University officials say they’re working with the Tippecanoe County Health Department to notify anyone who may have been in close contact with the latest cases.
