BRISTOL, Ind. (WOWO): A motorcyclist is dead a day after he crashed into a truck.

At 2:42 p.m. Thursday, 20-year-old Eric Morris of Bristol was traveling east on U.S. 20 just west of State Road 5, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

Morris passed a vehicle, but didn’t see the pickup truck ahead of it turning in front of him, police say. Morris crashed into the truck head-on at a high rate of speed.

Morris was initially flown to Fort Wayne in critical condition. However, he died late Thursday evening, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department. The other driver wasn’t hurt.

Drugs and alcohol were not a factor.
