Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for area until 5pm

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Some severe weather is expected for the Fort Wayne area today.

The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 5pm for most of northeast Indiana, including Allen, DeKalb, Noble, Whitley, Huntington, Wells, Adams, Blackford, Jay, Grant, Wabash, and Kosciusko Counties.

The NWS says conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorm development, with the main threats being damaging winds, small hail and frequent lightning.
