FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A program the City of Fort Wayne uses to help business owners fix up their storefronts is now accepting applications for next year.

The City’s Commercial Facade Grant program will enter its 11th year in 2019, and provides local businesses a matching grant to improve the exteriors of their buildings. Buildings with a single business are eligible for up to $20,000, while multiple businesses in a single building can receive up to $40,000.

To apply head to the city’s Community Development website or call Grants Specialist Lindsey Maksim by dialing 311 within the Fort Wayne city limits. Grants will be accepted through December 14th.

The program has helped pay for 99 projects since 2008, generating about $5-million in private investments.
