Trash and recycling collection halted another day

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Garbage and recycling collection will not take place in Fort Wayne Thursday as dangerously cold temperatures continue throughout the area.

The Allen County Health Department is advising everyone to avoid exposure to the extreme temperatures and for the safety of workers, both Red River Waste Solutions and Republic Services will not be collecting this Thursday.

Landfill and recycling drop-off centers will also remain closed.

The schedule for Fort Wayne residential collection for the rest of the week will be as follows:

  • Wednesday collection will be on Friday, Feb. 1
  • Thursday collection will be on Saturday, Feb. 2
  • Friday collection will be on Monday, Feb. 4

Collection next week will run one day behind.

They didn’t even pick up trash this week, tired of this company already not doing their job!
