Air Show Slated to Return in 2016

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Officials with the the Air National Guard's 122nd Fighter Wing announced they'll bring the Fort Wayne Air Show back in 2016, bigger and better than ever.



Colonel David Augenstein says with more than two years to prepare, a $400 thousand dollar budget and tremendous community support it could one the best shows in the county.



They'll use the next two years to arrange headline acts like Thunderbirds or Blue Angels and shore up local sponsorship. The event will include both historic civilian and military aircraft.



They are aiming at attracting more than 100,000 visitors to the event the weekend of September 9, 10 and 11, 2016.
