Allen County is Growing

According to the US Census Bureau, more than 360 thousand people call Allen County home. That’s up 1.4 percent since 2010. The Journal Gazette is reporting that counties north and west of Indianapolis are seeing the largest growth in the state. Hamilton County saw a jump of 5.4 percent to more than 285 thousand in 2012.  That’s one of the top 55 counties in the US. The study also said 60 of Indiana’s 92 counties experienced declines. Nationally, many of the fastest-growing counties and metropolitan areas in the last year were in or near the Great Plains, according to the Census Bureau.
