FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is hoping to fill 14 job openings.

The department is now accepting applications for full-time Civilian Confinement Officers.

Officers will earn $16.95 an hour, which is $35,275 a year. After six months the rate increases to $17.63, which is $36,686 a year.

The job also includes health care benefits, 401k with employer match and other Allen County Employee Benefits.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and be 21-year-old or older.
