ELKHART, Ind. (WOWO): Police say Amber Pasztor told them she smothered her two children.

Pasztor, 29, told investigators she smothered 7-year-old Liliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor and even demonstrated how she did it, according to court documents obtained by our news partners at 21Alive.

Just after 6 a.m. Monday, Pasztor broke into the house where the children were staying and took them.

An Amber Alert was issued for the two children around 12:30 p.m. Abc57 in South Bend reported that Pasztor told police she made multiple stops during the day Monday, including a restaurant and park.

She also told police she used her hands to smother her children, according to court documents.

An Elkhart Police Department Officer was flagged down by Pasztor and she told the officer she had two dead children in her vehicle at about 5:25 p.m. Monday.

She is being held in Elkhart. She has an outstanding warrant out of Fort Wayne. She’s being held without bond on two preliminary charges of murder.

Pasztor’s neighbor was found shot to death early Tuesday morning.
