American Red Cross Campaign to Help Residents on Southeast Side with Fire Safety

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): On Saturday, the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana will help some Fort Wayne residents prepare for house fires as part of a national campaign, that according to The Journal Gazette. Volunteers with the American Red Cross' Home Fire Campaign will visit homes in the 46806 ZIP code and install smoke alarms. Neighborhoods in this area were chosen due to a high number of house fire-related deaths each year. Since the campaign was initiated last year, five Hoosiers were saved because of smoke alarms installed by the organization.
